Barbeque lovers, this one’s for you.

If slow‑smoked, fall‑apart, flavor‑packed meat is your love language, then Thursday nights at our VFW Post are basically a date night. Sure, it’s called “Wings & Things,” but the real sleeper hit? Our pulled pork.

Our Post Commander guards his secret rub recipe like it’s national security, and the smoking process… well, that’s classified too. What isn’t classified is how ridiculously good it tastes.

And yes — we’ve still got the stars of the show: traditional and boneless wings in a variety of flavors that hit every craving from mild to wild. Whether you’re here for the wings, the pork, or both, you’re in good company.

Best part? We’re open to the public, and every meal you enjoy with us helps raise funds to support local veterans. Good food, good people, and a good cause — that’s what Thursday nights are all about.

Today is Flag Day — a moment to honor the symbol of our nation, the Stars and Stripes. For generations, the American flag has flown as a beacon of freedom, resilience, and unity. She has witnessed our greatest triumphs and stood tall through our darkest hours.

But today, my heart is heavy. It’s painful to see how our flag — and what she represents — is being disrespected, misunderstood, or even forgotten by some. This isn’t about politics; it’s about principle. The flag isn’t a banner for one party or ideology. She belongs to all of us — those who have fought for her, stood under her, and believed in the ideals she was meant to uphold: liberty, justice, and unity.

Let’s not forget what She stands for. Let’s teach our kids. Let’s remember the sacrifices made by so many who served under Her, believing in a better future for this country. Let’s return to respect — not just for the cloth, but for the country and the people it represents.

Happy Flag Day, America. May we learn to honor you again, not just with words, but with our actions. 🇺🇸

Today, We Remember. 🇺🇸

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have secured the freedoms we enjoy each day—freedoms that too often come at a cost too great.

This isn’t just a long weekend. It’s a sacred day of remembrance. We remember the fallen—not just as soldiers, but as sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and heroes.

Behind every name is a story, and behind every story is a legacy that lives on in our hearts.

May we never forget their sacrifice. May we live lives worthy of the freedom they died to protect. And may we always hold close the values they stood for: duty, honor, and love of country.

To the fallen—and to their families—we are forever grateful.
