Today, I was part of a शांतिपूर्ण yet powerful gathering at Rajghat (Bapuji Samadhi), organized by the Alliance of All Ex-Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (AAPWA).

The occasion was to pay homage to the brave martyrs of CRPF who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation on 9th April, 1965, at Sardar Post during the war against Pakistan. Being present at such a solemn place, surrounded by veterans, families of jawans, and fellow supporters, was deeply emotional and humbling.

At the same time, this gathering also reflected a collective concern. Despite a clear Supreme Court judgment and long-pending demands, critical issues like restoration of OPS (Old Pension Scheme), recognition of CAPF jawans’ sacrifice as “martyrdom,” and fair representation of cadre officers at senior leadership levels remain unresolved.

What stood out today was the dignity and discipline with which everyone expressed their voice. There was no anger, only a शांत दृढ़ता—a firm resolve to seek justice and rightful recognition.

This is not just a protest, but a beginning—a spark towards long-awaited change for the CAPF fraternity and their families.

Salute to the spirit, sacrifice, and unity of our forces. 🇮🇳

Mrs. Kanchan Deora, President of Sumitra Devi Trust, was invited as the Guest Speaker at an inspiring event titled Aarohan – The Rise of Women organized at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET). The session focused on women’s empowerment, safety awareness, and the collective responsibility of society in building a more respectful and inclusive environment for women.

During the session, Mrs. Deora shared meaningful insights on the evolving role of women in society and emphasized that *the true rise of women is not only about achieving success but also about gaining respect, safety, equal opportunities, and the confidence to express themselves freely. She encouraged students to become responsible citizens who contribute positively to a society where both women and men grow with mutual respect and dignity.

Addressing the students, she appreciated their enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful participation during the interaction session. She remarked that the students of NIET are bright, aware, and full of potential, and expressed her heartfelt wishes for their successful future filled with anant sambhavnayein (infinite possibilities). She encouraged them to use their knowledge, values, and sensitivity to create a better and safer society.

Mrs. Deora also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the faculty members and extended special appreciation to Mr. Souvre Singh Bisht, Head of the Department, for organizing such a meaningful and socially relevant program. She highlighted that educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping responsible and sensitive individuals.

While expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Deora thanked the entire NIET family for inviting her to be a part of such an important initiative. She conveyed her best wishes to the institute for continued growth and success, hoping that NIET will keep rising higher and inspiring young minds to bring positive change in society.

Concluding her address, she said, When a woman rises, a family rises, a society rises, and ultimately a nation rises. Empowering women is not just a social responsibility; it is the foundation of a progressive and compassionate society.

आज दिनांक 16 नवम्बर 2025, शाम 4 बजे, सुमित्रा देवी ट्रस्ट द्वारा संचालित *‘नेहदान’* कार्यक्रम एक नई उम्मीद बनकर उस बस्ती में पहुँचा, जहाँ पहुँचते ही ट्रस्ट की टीम को जानकारी मिली कि हाल ही में लगी भीषण आग में लगभग 8 से 10 झोपड़ियाँ पूरी तरह जलकर राख हो गई हैं। इस दुर्घटना ने कई परिवारों को बेघर और बेहद असहाय स्थिति में कर दिया था।

ऐसी गंभीर परिस्थिति को देखते हुए सुमित्रा देवी ट्रस्ट की टीम तुरंत सक्रिय हुई और प्रभावित परिवारों को कपड़े, बर्तन तथा अन्य आवश्यक घरेलू सामग्री प्रदान की। इस त्वरित सहायता से आग प्रभावित परिवारों को तत्काल राहत मिली और उनके चेहरों पर आशा की एक नई किरण दिखाई दी।

सुमित्रा देवी ट्रस्ट समाज के जरूरतमंद वर्गों के साथ हमेशा खड़ा रहा है और भविष्य में भी ऐसी किसी भी आपदा या कठिन परिस्थिति में पूर्ण सहयोग देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है
