Does this look like justice to you?

It takes Courage to stand up in the face of injustice! Stand with us! Do not criminalize Data Errors!...

It takes Courage to stand up in the face of injustice! Stand with us! Do not criminalize Data Errors! Clerk Hawkins has been an outstanding public servant and re-elected, showing that she retains her constituents support. We do not support the 6 felony charges against her and ask that in consideration of ZERO voters being disenfranchised and her obvious RE-election that the criminal matter be dropped. ✨ DROP THE CHARGES AGAINST THE CLERK ✨.

Why is the Michigan AG’ s office trying to crucify Southfield, Michigan’s first black City Clerk, but former Governor Rick Synder has skated by with minimal misdemeanor charges! Help fight for Sherikia Hawkins!

17/07/2022

The MC-CEA’s first advocacy campaign is to support Southfield, Michigan’s first African-American City Clerk, who after successfully administering several elections was targeted by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and hit with 6, yes SIX felonies for what has been described as data errors. The AG’s office further declared that NO voters were disenfranchised, but yet Sherikia Hawkins who has an extensive public service record has been criminally charged. How can the AG’s office come down so harshly for data errors, but as a comparison, Governor Snyder was charged with just a couple misdemeanor charges for his role in the Flint Water Crisis.

Why does it always seem like the book is thrown at some, while others skate by for even greater and more harmful acts! This has to stop. This is the reason we choose to fight. We have to stand up for each other to bring change. Please send letters to help advocate for the city of Southfield’s Clerk Sherikia Hawkins.

The Michigan Supreme Court doesn’t accept letters on behalf of defendants, but if you feel the way we do, “We The People” do NOT support these charges and as demonstrated by The City Clerk’s re-election the constituents also retain her support beyond the data error allegations!

For the past several months, we’ll if I’m honest- years, I’ve been so concerned for my fellow man.  You’ve seen the news stories, the many issues, the many people, and children even, who’ve been impacted. I decided that I didn’t want to numb myself to the things around me any longer.

I have formed the Michigan Center for Civic Engagement and Advocacy to assist ordinary people in having their voice heard, to keep our officials accountable to truly represent us and bring awareness to critical issues.   Support me as I endeavor to fight for the people and issues that desperately need support.
