No matter what you face in this life…. Darkness always has a way of coming around… in a world full of darkness.. it’s just a part of life.

That very darkness once found me in my late teens and early 20s. I was completely overcome by thoughts of depression and suicidal thoughts. Every time I went to take action I would audibly hear God say “NOT YET“. I was so confused as to why God wouldn’t let me just end it all. That led to anxiety and panic attacks.

Eventually, being desperate to not feel that pain any longer, I started self harming.  as if I didn’t struggle enough already with my self-confidence… Trying to hide what you were doing to yourself will cause you to feel like you’re some  kind of top secret spy doing bad things all the while, operating around like everything is fine.

What I’m getting at is that the darkness has a way of drowning you before you even realize it. I know now the reason I went through all of that… My life’s purpose is to help others go through and overcome those same battles. 

It was ONLY the light of Jesus shining through the darkness that saved me. And he can save you too. If you are facing heavy emotional stuff… Don’t hold it all in, I am here to talk to you. There is no shame in feeling heavy stuff… It’s natural!

Some days, depression doesn’t announce itself. It just quietly steals your energy, your motivation, and tries to convince you that you’ll never feel like yourself again.

Darlin, remember that feelings are not forever, and they are not the final chapter.

If you have scars that you put on your body yourself…. TELL YOUR STORY!!.. you own your story. The world can and will shame you for it. But let me encourage you..Your scars are not something to hide—they’re evidence that you survived what tried to break you. Don’t let shame silence your story. Someone else may find hope because you had the courage to be honest. God can use the very thing you once tried to cover to bring healing, freedom, and hope to someone else. 💛
