The next in our season of Autumn/Winter talks will take place on Thursday 12th February at 7.30pm at the Hook Memorial Hall, High Street, Hook. The guest speaker will be Peter Connelly and the subject will be Defending Hull! Excavations On The Site Of Henry VIII South Blockhouse – During the summer of 2022 the people of Hull, and the surrounding region, got involved in an archaeological project investigating the remains of the South Blockhouse, part of Hull’s eastern defences constructed under order of Henry VIII in 1541.
