When disability or serious illness affects a family, several urgent needs often follow. A parent may lose income while medical expenses grow, and the children may go without enough food, school supplies, or a safe place to sleep.

Before a family enters one of our programs, a volunteer visits the home and listens carefully. This helps us understand which needs are placing the greatest burden on the family and provide assistance that fits their situation. This family now is enrolled in our Monthly Food Assistance Program.

She is a widow with a disability who lives alone. She washed her clothes by hand, had no stove, and slept on a mattress without a bed.
Her needs were not forgotten.
Through our Family Financial Assistance Program, Coptic Cross Ministries provided her with a washing machine, a stove, and a bed. She also receives monthly food assistance.
These simple items brought relief, dignity, and comfort. Her response was a heartfelt prayer asking God to bless the donors who made it possible.

Disability or serious illness can leave a family without income and without a way to replace a broken appliance, repay a crushing debt, or repair a dangerous home.
Through our Family Financial Assistance Program, 311 families have received help that made daily life safer and lifted an urgent burden. For a struggling family, this help restores dignity and reminds them that they are not alone.

Across Egypt's poorest communities, families facing disability and illness often spend the little they have on medicine and daily care. Nutritious food can quickly become something they can no longer afford, and children suffer the most.

Through our Monthly Food Assistance Program, about 615 families (2,460 people) receive food assistance every month. Parents can place nourishing meals on the table, and their children have the strength they need to grow.

Where Healing Begins and Hope Rises
Abdelnour, a father of two daughters, is making encouraging progress after once being unable to take even a few steps due to severe legs disability. Through your support, he received a wheelchair, walker, and pressure-relief mattress to aid in his recovery from a chronic bedsore. Today, he is moving again and beginning to look ahead with hope.
As his strength returns, Abdelnour is now exploring the possibility of joining our small business assistance program to help provide for his family. In the meantime, due to ongoing financial hardship, his family remains enrolled in our monthly food assistance program. Through your generosity, lives are being restored, bringing healing, dignity, and the reassurance that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
