A key factor in our success is local staff and leadership.

When clinical encounters are "language-concordant," patients can fully articulate symptoms and receive education they can actually understand. Providers who share a patient's cultural background also better understand unspoken nuances regarding dietary preferences, family dynamics, and traditional health beliefs.

Haiti isn't just beautiful people. It's also filled with natural beauty. Often, we see only one side of Haiti. There's so much more.

The Heartline Maternity Center is an oasis of hope in a time and place where not much is to be found.

Local midwives, nurses, and support staff work each day to provide compassionate, high-quality maternal and infant care as Haitians struggle and fight to survive all around them. They are the healthcare heroes we lift up and celebrate. Each is personally impacted by Haiti's insecurity as well.

The result? Healthy families, mamas, and babies.

We believe that access to quality, compassionate maternal and infant healthcare will play a large part in Haiti's rise. We'll be fighting to ensure it's available, as we have for over a decade.
