🌊 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝙠𝙤𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙙, 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙤𝙜 𝙣𝙖 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣.

Saying no to drugs is only half the fight—the other half is choosing to take care of the community we're fighting for.

This March 18, 2025, the 𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐏 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚 took action—not just against drugs, but against the neglect that quietly poisons the spaces we live in.

We spent our afternoon at the Port Area in Isabela City for a cleanup drive that reminded us how a clean environment is a reflection of a community that genuinely cares—for itself, for its future, and for the people in it.

Because fighting for a better community doesn't stop at saying no to drugs. It shows up in every piece of trash picked up, every shoreline cleared, and every small act that says we take pride in where we live. 🍃

With 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹 𝗙. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘀𝗮 leading the group, the 𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐏 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚 continues to stand as a reminder that the youth has never been the problem—𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙧. ❤️

An upbeat tale lingered, 10th graders weaved in grace

Within the dim-lit filled gymnasium, ecstatic dancers gracefully flashed the entire area with optimism and perseverance, showing that even in hectic schedules — no one could stop them from soaring through the competition.

MAPEH instructors, in collaboration with the NDEP group, made an itinerary to continue such a vivacious culminating aerobic dance activity, which promotes not just the well-being of the students, but also their physical prowess with regard to cardiovascular endurance and muscle-toning.

Conforming to the said eccentric contraction of body movements, this competition involved twelve Grade 10 sections who qualified for the final round, smearing each other's choreography with entertainment and creativity.

These aerobic enthusiasts simply promoted the National Physical Education learning competency — indulging one's self in vigorous propaganda for at least 60 minutes a day — to instill the essence of physical and mental awareness.

In the bargain, the final competitors are already steadfast winners regardless of their stance on the said award. Everyone did a great job, but in accordance with the fundamental critique that needed to be done, the judges seemingly picked who they heed as the best from the rest.

In relation to the judgement given by our preceding critics, these were the results:

CHAMPION: 10 Volta
1ST RUNNER UP: 10 Bohr
2ND RUNNER UP: 10 Tesla
3RD RUNNER UP: 10 Galilei
4TH RUNNER UP: Nobel

Flaunting, as one could particularly say, yet enticing moves engaged with melodic music were hereby applauded by different selected Grade 10 sections. From cheers to accompanied acceptance, the spirit of dancing began and faded, but never ended.

Yesterday marked a significant step in the planning process for this year's highly anticipated intramurals meet. BNHS NDEP BKD, along with MAPEH Mother Club, Alab ng Haraya Dance Troupe, and Girl Scouts of the Philippines came together for the initial planning meeting, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable event.

The meeting was filled with productive discussions as officers from different clubs shared ideas, strategized, and collaboratively mapped out a comprehensive plan for the event.

Key discussion points included the selection of engaging and inclusive activities, and the creation of a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for all students. NDEP BKD played an important role in the meeting, contributing valuable insights and expertise for its assigned activity—the movie booth—which will feature interactive entertainment elements for students to enjoy.

The collaborative approach was evident throughout the meeting, with each organization bringing its unique strengths and ideas to the planning process. This unified effort ensures that the intramurals will cater to diverse interests and abilities, fostering school spirit and camaraderie among the student body.

Moving forward, the planning committees will continue working together to finalize details and coordinate resources. Students can expect updates on specific events, registration procedures, and participation opportunities in the coming weeks.

Angels' descent from heaven was pretty much unexpected, yet here they are, plummeted with grace and divinity, inside a school where most individuals ignore truth and reliability about drug usage.

Subsequently, this event seemed to have set off a luminescent spark.

From spouting credentials to picking cherries up in a tree, powerful and revered students were chosen according to their remark and justified intentions regarding leadership and purpose. They are indeed our messengers of light on these dim-light-filled hallways.

NDEP Barkada Kontra Droga (NDEP BKD) concluded its annual election with the guidance of Ms. Richel Solamo Flores, NDEP Barkada Kontra Droga Adviser, ushered in a new era of leadership dedicated to strengthening the organization's fight against drug abuse not just in our school campus, but also within the community.

While imposing formality upon the held election, the secondth of July, saw members full of potential, reflecting the organization's vibrant and committed leadership. This year's endeavor was held as a crucial task to be instituted among younglings, marking a transition to a new generation of leaders ready to take on and educate everyone about the evolving challenges of drug prevention and awareness.

Prior to this event, classroom student leaders gathered to select their votes in unison. Newly elected officers bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to their roles—promising an effective approach to the organization's mission, and the dedication to serve and be an inspiration to the students of Basilan National High School.
