Regina Aquarium Society The Regina Aquarium Society is a club for fish enthusiasts to gather and share their knowledge of the hobby.

We host monthly meetings where we often have members give presentations on what they have learned in their experience in the hobby.

All must be legible by our auctioneers so we know who's fish we are selling, what we are selling and what order to sell it in.

1. Auctions are open to all, with only members in good standing of a recognized aquarium club/society being able to sell. Memberships will be available at the door.
2. All persons registered as sellers will automatically be registered as buyers. Each club member will be assigned a unique Auction Number that will serve as their seller number. No buyer number required. Maximum 25 items per membership can be entered in the auction (25 per family or single membership.)
3. Cash payment will be required at the time of purchase.
4. Auctioneers and club volunteers will be allowed to run a tab. This ensures the auction moves around smoothly.
5. Bid increments in full dollar amounts will only be accepted. Minimum bids are $1. Auctioneers may advance bids at larger quantities as they see fit.
6. All purchases become the immediate responsibility of the buyer.
7. Out of town guests who are in good standing of a recognized aquarium club or society will be allowed to bring 25 items to the auction.
8. Reserve bids under five (5) dollars will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE A LIMIT OF 5 RESERVED ITEMS PER MEMBER.
9. When registering items, the seller must submit a list of all items to be offered for sale with the appropriate information legibly entered prior to the start of the auction.
10. All items must be tagged with the seller’s assigned auction number, club of affiliation and name. Dry goods must be clean and marked as to condition of operation. Fish and plants must also be labeled with the common name, scientific name, and number of specimens. Items are to be labeled with the seller assigned number followed by a hyphen then the specific item number. Items are to be numbered in sequence. The numbering information is also to be recorded on the official auction registration form or a facsimile.
11. Restricted Species – Species restricted by Provincial, Federal, or International Treaty or Laws will not be offered for sale. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) sets controls on movement of animal and plant species that are, or may be, threatened due to excessive commercial exploitation. 12. Any items such as fish, which require rebagging, may be subject to a $2 fee.
13. The Regina Aquarium Society retains the right to withhold any item for sale should it be of questionable quality or presentation.

14. We will auction off items in order on the auction sheet presented by the seller. We will auction five items from each seller until there are no items left.
15. Viewing of items will be allowed prior to the auction and during announced intermissions.
16. Commission will be 25% to the Regina Aquarium society to cover operating costs and 75% to the seller. (see rule 21).
17. All accounts will be settled at the end of the auction, once the cash table has had time to balance receipts. No accounts will be closed during the auction. Once accounts have been closed no further adjustments will be made. It is the responsibility of the buyer/seller to ensure that their receipts are accurate.
18. Out of town sellers will be allowed to cash put first.
19. While all possible precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all
items, the Regina Aquarium Society and its representatives will assume NO responsibility
for loss or damage incurred during the auction.
20. Late items will be placed on a designated table for sale as the last table sold at the auction.
21. The Auction Committee retains the right to amend any and all of the above rules.
