East Central juniors and seniors attended a college fair today, giving them the opportunity to connect with representatives from over 60 colleges and universities! Students explored a variety of programs, learned about admissions requirements, and discovered the many educational pathways available to them after graduation.

College fairs are a great way for students to ask questions, gather information, and begin thinking about their future goals. Whether they have a specific career in mind or are still exploring their options, today’s event provided valuable opportunities to learn and plan for life after East Central.

Attention East Central Junior Parents!

East Central will be administering the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, beginning at 8:15 a.m.

While taking the PSAT is not required, it can be a valuable opportunity for students. The test:

✅ Provides practice for college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT
✅ Helps students become familiar with the format and types of questions they may encounter on future college placement tests
✅ Places students in the qualifying pool for the National Merit Scholarship Program

Important: Students must sign up with Mrs. Gaede by September 30 to take the test.

Only 20 tests have been purchased, so spots are limited!

For more information about the PSAT/NMSQT and what is included on the test, visit:
College Board PSAT/NMSQT Information

Questions? Please reach out to Mrs. Gaede!

🎒East Central Backpack Food Program 🍎

The East Central Backpack Food Program is back for another school year! This program provides a weekend supply of nutritious food to elementary students when school breakfast and lunch are unavailable on weekends or school holidays.

Each food bag includes:
🍳 2 breakfasts
🥪 2 lunches
🍎 2 snacks
🥦 2 servings of fruits or vegetables

The program is run by the East Central National Honor Society and is made possible through the generous support of our community members, organizations, and businesses. ❤️

Our goal is simple: to help make sure students have access to nutritious food when they are away from school. The program is available at no cost to participating families.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make this program possible! Your generosity directly supports the health, well-being, and success of our students.

Interested in learning more about the program or having your child participate? Please contact Mrs. Gaede at East Central.
