๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ: On 05 June 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao, together with Mr. Ville Matti Hermanni Makinen, First Secretary of the Embassy of Finland; Mr. Antonio โ€œTonyโ€ Peralta, ECCP-SMBC Chairman and Honorary Consul of Finland to Mindanao; and Ms. Rie Realingo, ECCP Davao Branch Officer, held a courtesy meeting with the Davao Doctors Hospital.

The ECCP had a consultation with Ms. Mirasol Tiu, the Chief Operating Officer of Davao Doctors Hospital, to discuss the hospitalโ€™s readiness and competency in hospital admission and overall patient care. Through the consultation, the ECCP gained valuable insights about the hospitalโ€™s extensive healthcare network, resource management, and top quality medical services. The discussion also highlighted the hospitalโ€™s contingency measures and preparedness plans, which ensure operational continuity in case of unforeseen events.

The ECCP resonates with Davao Doctors Hospital mission of delivering exceptional and quality healthcare services by fostering collaboration and nurturing relationships among various sectors.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: On 05 June 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao, together with Mr. Ville Matti Hermanni Makinen, First Secretary of the Embassy of Finland; Mr. Antonio โ€œTonyโ€ Peralta, ECCP-SMBC Chairman and Honorary Consul of Finland to Mindanao; and Ms. Rie Realingo, ECCP Davao Branch Officer paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Red Cross - Davao City Chapter.

The primary purpose of the visit is to gain a deeper understanding of the services offered by the Philippine Red Cross Davao City Chapter and assess its readiness in responding to emergencies, especially its frontline role in the health, safety, and disaster management sectors. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between private and non private sectors to help the organization achieve its objectives.

Also present during the meeting were Mr. Harry Lopez, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Engr. Rogelio U. Aca, Jr., Chapter Administrator; and Mr. Eduardo Robillo, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Red Cross- Davao City Chapter.

Through this visit, the ECCP reaffirmed its commitment to fostering support from diplomatic communities and increasing the level of awareness for the private sectors to partake in the mission of improving the lives of vulnerable communities across the country.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: On 2 June 2026, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City conducted a courtesy visit to the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao Office.

The meeting focused on the discussion of the Bangsamoro Agri-Enterprise Programme (BAEP) and its objective of empowering the competitiveness of the BARMM and the regionโ€™s agribusiness MSMEs. The meeting seeks to increase the participation of private sectors in the development of infrastructure and agribusiness sector in the BARMM region.

Present in the meeting were Mr. Tony Peralta, Chairman of ECCP-SMBC; Ms. Rie Realingo, ECCP Davao Branch Officer; Ms. Sam Gura, BAEP Project Associate; Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, Consul General of Malaysia; Mr. Ihkwan Ariff Yusoff, Consul Officer of Malaysia; and Mr. Shaiful Naszri Abdul Wahid, Counselor of Agriculture.

The meeting enabled for the alignment of vision of participants regarding the expansion of investments in BARMM and fostering growth opportunities for the MSMEs in the region.

On 25 May 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao successfully conducted a one-day program entitled Finance Demystified: A Comprehensive Course on Finance and Financial Management via Zoom.

Understanding the ability of finance to influence the trajectory of businesses, the session enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of financial management, the role of financial managers, and analysis of financial statements through a comprehensive informative talk, real world case analysis, and interactive discourse with the participants.

The ECCP continues to be committed to giving insightful learning opportunities to help businesses propel and address intra-organizational challenges.

On 19 May 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao conducted an exploratory meeting with Dutch Care Global BV to discuss potential partnerships and collaborative initiatives that may benefit ECCP and its members.

Present during the meeting were Mr. Koen van Stokkem, CEO of Dutch Care Global BV; Mr. Antonio Peralta, Honorary Consul of Finland for Mindanao and ECCP-SMBC Chairman; and Ms. Rie Realingo, ECCP Davao Branch Officer.

The discussion focused on fostering stronger business relations, exploring opportunities in education, work experience, and human capital development, and creating sustainable connections between Europe and the Philippines starting in Davao City.

On 15 May 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao conducted a meeting with the new management of dusitD2 Davao for a potential partnership and future collaboration, at Madayaw Cafรฉ Restaurant in Dusit Thani Davao.

The meeting coincided with the visit of the ECCP Executive Director, Mr. Florian Gottein, who was also accommodated by the hotel during his stay in Davao City.

Together with Ms. Vanessa Suatengco, Cluster General Manager of Dusit Thani Davao and Ms. Jenifer Romero, Dusit Thani Davao Cluster Director of Sales, discussions centered on potential collaborations involving future events and accommodation services.

Also present during the meeting were Mr. Antonio Peralta, ECCP-SMBC Chairman and Honorary Consul of Finland in Mindanao, and Ms. Rie Realingo, ECCP Davao Branch Officer.

On 15 May 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines heeded the invitation of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City to strengthen connections and discuss potential plans at the quarters of the Consulate General of Malaysia Davao located on the 4th Floor of Pryce Tower.

The meeting focused on the forthcoming BIMP-EAGA Advocacy Conference scheduled for the third quarter of 2026, with discussions underscoring the importance of strengthening regional economic integration, enhancing connectivity, and fostering greater collaboration among stakeholders across the BIMP-EAGA subregion to advance inclusive and sustainable development initiatives.

On 14 May 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), together with ECCP-SMBC Chairman and Honorary Consul of Finland to Mindanao, Mr. Antonio โ€œTonyโ€ Peralta; ECCP Executive Director, Mr. Florian Gottein; and, ECCP Davao Branch Officer, Ms. Rie Realingo, paid a courtesy visit to Gov Edwin Jubahib at the Tahanan ng Punong Lalawigan, Davao del Norte.

As part of the visit, the delegation formally donated copies of the book โ€œ100 Inobasyon Mula sa Finlandโ€ as a contribution to promoting innovation, learning, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in the province. The meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss potential areas of collaboration and strengthen connections between the local government and the Finnish and European business community in Mindanao.

Also present during the visit and lunch meeting were ConEquip Philippines Incorporated President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Seth Oliver Tio; and, Senior Vice President for Finance, Ms. May Tio.

The initiative highlights the shared commitment of both parties in fostering partnerships that support innovation, education, and regional development.
