Nigerian Man Publicly Proposes to Tiwa Savage, Says He’s Filled Marriage Application Form.
A man identified as Festus Awolowo Etame has publicly declared his intention to marry Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage, stating that he has already filled out a marriage application form for her.
In an open letter addressed to the singer, Festus described himself as a single, educated man from Isoko, Delta State, currently living in Abuja, and working in management consultancy, book authorship, and publishing.
He wrote:
“Dear Tiwa Savage, almost a week ago I posted my marriage proposal to you, asking for your hand in marriage as my first and only wife. I believe in monogamy and I don’t want you to be a second or third wife to any man. I also promise to adopt your son.”
Festus went on to explain that his intentions were sincere and not influenced by Tiwa’s fame or wealth, emphasizing that he had once been married to a Yoruba woman who passed away in 2019.
“For over six years I’ve been searching for true love again. I don’t smoke, drink, or womanize. You’re beautiful enough for me, and I’ll seek no other woman,” he added.
He further described marriage to Tiwa as a “test ground” for his Christian lifestyle and urged her to be careful with suitors, adding:
“All that glitters isn’t gold. I’m not coming to chop and run; I’m here to chop and remain with you. As a Management Consultant, I’ll be able to manage our successes for our joint good.”
Festus concluded his heartfelt note by signing off as “your husband-to-be.”
