We are a non-political, community driven coalition. Our mission is to rid our community of trash & to renew pride & joy to its citizens.

Pride
• To celebrate those who take pride in our community, our public lands & our roadways.
• Post photos of our community members efforts; whether it is cleaning up public land dump sites, picking up trash along our roadways or demonstrating their community pride in other ways, let us say “Thank you!”

Shame
• To expose those who trash & disrespect our community, our public lands & our roadways.

• Post photos of trashy sites & situations. Our neighbors are comfortable trashing our community, let their names be known & call the authorities. We will organize clean up efforts, promote & encourage good habits for safe trash disposal & removal. Fundraise to help those who are really wanting to clean up but may not have the resources. Offer volunteers & funds for a dump run. The West End Wild & Free of Trash Coalition serves the West End region, including the towns of Naturita, Norwood, Redvale, Nucla, Bedrock, Paradox & the surrounding area.

Here in Nucla. Just from our drive on CC Rd to 2900 rd and back we gathered up 2 big black trash bags. (And we didnt even go in the fields for all the beer bottles).

Along with that came me finding the catch of the day. These lovely needles. One can only assume where they came from. This is big city trash. If you don't think we have a problem around here....I refer you to the picture. And people that have to take insulin or any other kinds of shots do not dispose of their needles with duct tape on the side of the road!

Volumteers needed... this mess is off EE22 Road. It’s one of the pull outs along the cliff walls before you climb up the mesa.
We have supplies provided by the BLM. If you can help, please let us know & we'll set you up.

I'm just going to put this out there.....how many people would be interested in picking up trash with me. Our towns are looking awful with the trash scattered along the roadsides. I realize it's still a bit chilly, but we've been having some nice days (and no snakes or other critters now) I am available M-Th 8-10:30 not saying that's the only time it can be done but I can commit myself to those times. If you are interested in doing this with me, please let me know. I will get some bags from the county. I could also organize a Friday or Saturday if anyone is interested on the weekend. Let's take some pride in our towns again!
