Toys in the Dog Park.

No toys in the dog park please.
They can cause fights, spread germs and cause accidents and collisions with other dogs and their owners.

If you see an abandoned ball or toy in the park, please throw it away. Understanding that certain dogs needs toys in order to be happy, however, the dog park is not the place to utilize them.

LEASHES ARE REQUIRED IN THE PARKING LOT. IT IS THE LAW.

What does this sign mean and why?

1. It is the LAW. The Town of Uxbridge has a Leash Law.

2. SAFETY of the dogs. This is a parking lot, with moving vehicles. Entering, exiting, backing up, pulling in at any given time. Dogs can be unpredictable.

3. CONTAINMENT. You may believe that your dog will run to the front gate, There was an incident earlier this year, a dog ran into the road on Sutton street and was struck.

4. CONTROL. Dogs are constantly entering and exiting the park. Avoid an incident between two dogs in the parking lot, maintaining control of your dog, Use a leash.

5. INCIDENTS. If an incident occurs in the park, leashes are a best way to remove your dog safely and quickly from the situation to exit the park.
