🥎 MidTN Fall Top Tri-Star Showcase Recap
This weekend, our girls stepped onto the field against some great competition and had the opportunity to compete in front of college coaches. We received some great feedback—not only about how our girls played, but about their attitude, responses, and the way they carried themselves.
24 of the top teams came to compete in the 16U Showcase.
We took care of business early in pool play and finished it off with a walk-off win to go 3-0, earning the #3 seed overall heading into Sunday’s single-elimination bracket.
After earning a first-round bye, we advanced to the Round of 16 and took control early, never looking back. That moved us into the quarterfinals, where we battled back and forth before eventually falling 3-2 to the tournament champions. Finishing 4-1 on the weekend.
For the first time in four straight months and six consecutive tournaments, our girls didn’t finish the weekend standing on the podium.
What an incredible run they’ve been on.
There is no secret to their success: dedication, sacrifice, commitment, and continuing to show up for one another. Sometimes it’s your weekend to shine, and sometimes it’s your weekend to support the person beside you. Every role matters.
This game continues to teach lessons far beyond wins and losses. When the dust settles, these girls will realize that some of the most important things softball gave them had nothing to do with a scoreboard.
Proud of this group. Proud of the way they compete. Proud of the way they represent one another.
The run isn’t over. We get back to work.
