It is a pleasure to welcome you to our Takoma Park Independence Day celebration.

Events are planned, directed, and financed by the efforts of the all volunteer Takoma Park Independence Day Committee, with cooperation of the City, Mayor, and Council.

Do you have a new idea you'd like to bring to the parade, but you could use some cash to help make it possible? Apply for a "Weird & Wonderful" small grant for parade entries. If selected we'll provide up to $500 to support your costs. Apply by April 30th for priority consideration (applications considered on a rolling basis after that). https://www.takomapark4th.org/weird-wonderful

Registration for the 2026 parade is now open and we would LOVE to have you in it! You can learn more about the parade - or register if you're ready! - on our website. The parade is open to individuals, schools, clubs, community orgs, bands, streets or blocks, or pretty much anything else you can think of. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are seeking a few volunteers to serve as Dignitary Drivers in this year's parade. Dignitary drivers drive an elected official or other honored guest (like our local school principals and other leaders) in the parade. You do not need to own a classic car, just a car you're up for parading in.

Would you like to be part of this year's Takoma Park 4th of July parade? We'd love to have you!
