Huge thanks to Hugh Warwick & Penny Kiley writer for sharing their skills & experiences of making a go of their own Substacks.

We had great feedback from our members who got a taste of both the highly organised & the 'muddle through' approach.

In case you missed it, Penny has blogged about it. The link to her blogpost is in the comment to this post

The New Internationalist, founded in Oxford in 1973 , need support to help secure their future.

Still published from premises down the Cowley Road, their critical and independent journalism has been shining a light on big global issues for more than 50 years.

They are owned by their readers, run by a journalists' cooperative, and have more than 20,000 subscribers across the world.

You can check out their coverage here https://newint.org/about

If you'd like to help them secure their future, then chipping in to the crowd funder would be a good way, and now would definitely be a good time

Three cheers for Anna Maloney Deputy Comment and Features Ed
CityAM for refusing to be complicit in giving space to AI slop sent by PRs, business people/'experts' and churnalists. That's how we

So proud to march behind our banner with other Oxford unions on Saturday's demo, in with every worker fighting for the basics we all need: good jobs, decent pay, workers rights.

Also commemorating the Oxford trade unionists who showed the meaning of solidarity when they joined the 1926 General Strike to support the miners who had been locked out for protesting against cuts to their hours and pay.

Thanks to all our members who turned out. Special thanks to Zoe Broughton for the pix
