This years Grant Applications are now open!

The Plymouth Astor Trust (VHS) awards grants to charities and community organisations that support the people of Plymouth. In recent years we have given grants to over 60 Plymouth organisations and have awarded grants and in-kind support totalling over £449,000.

We’ll be accepting applications for grants for up to £3,000, the application process will close on 31 May 2026 and the application form can be downloaded at: https://www.plymouthastortrust.org.uk/grants/download-application-form/

We much prefer to receive applications by email to [email protected] Please put the name of your organisation in the subject field of your email. You will receive an email from us confirming that we have received your application. Subject title example: ‘ABC Charity Grant Application’.

Yesterday, Lucy, our Direct Services Lead, attended the The Plymouth Astor Trust - VHS awards presentation alongside some incredible charities and community groups.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been awarded a grant by The Plymouth Astor Trust – this funding will make a real difference, helping us continue to provide vital counselling services to young people across Plymouth. 💙

Happy Monday! As we make the most of the last of this lovely weather, we are also delighted to announce a wonderful award from the The Plymouth Astor Trust - VHS to fund the cost of a support worker to help coordinate and facilitate a new peer support group for the families and carers of those with an acquired brain injury.

Thanks you so much to all at the Trust and we're looking forward to meeting the Astor Trust team and some amazing other charities and community groups (who have also received awards) on 8th July at their awards presentation event.

Watch this space as we make arrangements for our initial family and carers group meeting.

We had an excellent day last week at our launch event: It was attended by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, The Lord Mayor Councillor (Mrs) Tina Tuohy, alongside Trustees of the Plymouth Astor Trust and Alice Astor, Nancy Astor’s granddaughter, and former grant and Astor Scholarship recipients who shared insights into the legacy of her grandmother and the Trust’s ongoing impact.
