Are you interested in volunteering in a Hungarian eco-village?

Our organization, Eco Valley Foundation is hosting volunteers in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program in projects of Individual Volunteering and Volunteering Teams, which are organized in Somogyvámos, Hungary.

TEAM VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
What?
Our team volunteering project „Let’s Change the World Together!” is part of the European Solidarity Corps program.

Tasks:
Organizing local activities in the context of sustainable farming
Learning mastery in gardening, dairy farming and sustainable cloth cooking
Assisting in office work and gaining insight into operating and maintaining an ecological, sustainable project initiative
Creating and managing social media content on the topic of volunteering

Where?
In our organisation’s model eco-village community in Somogyvámos, Hungary

When?
2 weeks in September: 14/09/2025 – 27/09/2025

Who?
10 young people (18-30 years old) with an interest in topics of sustainability and self-sufficiency, capable of representing their country, promoting European values such as sustainability, multiculturalism, inclusion, as well as fostering teamwork and willingness to work with local young people.

🏋️‍♂️A training on Impact Entrepreneurship📚

This week some members of our organization, i.e. Öko-völgy Alapítvány have been participating in a youth workers training. The program has welcomed 25 people from different European countries, who work with young people. The goal of the training is to empower participants to use the Impact Entrepreneurship methodology and strengthen the transversal skills of young people who want to change the world for the better with green initiatives.🌱

This unique initiative is the result of a two-year collaboration between international partners, aiming to equip youth workers with tools to help young people unlock their entrepreneurial potential. Our foundation has also cooperated with the coordinating organization, Udruga OAZA in developing the Impact Entrepreneurship project with other partner organizations.

During the training, we have been exploring innovative tools that support:
✅ the first steps in youth entrepreneurship,
✅ developing entrepreneurial self-awareness,
✅ inspiring actions with a focus on sustainability.

This is just the beginning of an exciting journey for young people and youth workers!🔥

🌿The project resonates with our Rural Entrepreneurship for You(th) as it helps young people by the assistance of youth workers to develop and establish entrepreneurship ideas and initiatives.

🌍The project involves 10 partner organizations from 8 EU countries and it is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Our last managers meeting for this 3 years long project, in Spain near Santander. 🇪🇸
We met up to discuss and finalise « Rural Entrepreneurship for Youth », so that finally -as you already know- our blogs and online group is available to all of you to check out! 😁
You’ll be able to learn and discover ways of being a rural entrepreneur amongst other interesting subjects! 🙌

We are grateful to have been part of this project, and to have shared with you all what we have gathered in these last 3 years.

Our 3 years « Rural Entrepreneurship for You(th) » project is approaching its completion! 🥳
The online platform is up as indicated in the previous post, BUT we also now have a PUBLIC GROUP for all of you to join! 💻
By becoming a member you will be able to directly communicate with not only previous participants of the project, but also its organisers and more like-minded people.
