Our message to Dan Andrews,

Gday Dan
We are Jayden, Zoe, and Leo we`re emailing you to see if you would like to help with recycling and clean the world from the wasted plastic.

As the premier you need to take action to help keep the recycled waste in the correct bin ( recycled bin) which can be different colours depending on the suburb you live in. Some people don't recycle because some people dont look at the rubbish. My group is having trouble telling people that recycling is so important and we are dumping rubbish in 3rd world countries. The countries are getting quite angry with the amount of rubbish we are dumping, recycling just one tonne of paper saves 13 trees and 26,500 liters of water, this is a fact. We are very passionate about this topic because we want to live in a clean world with fresh smelling air.

In the next 25 years the soil would be full of dangerous chemicals that would stop the plant life and kill insects that help the environment. The water would be polluted and not drinkable. Countries that already live in bad conditions will be the first to fall. As the premier you need to get round to the other premiers of Australia so make this problem disappear, this would make the great country of Australia more advanced than any other country in the world.
We are still students at Alkira Secondary College in year 12, we are in a VM program of PDS (Personal Skills and Development) . We want you to hold a press conference and get the premieres of Australia to get around this topic to make a clean world

Lets Make Australia Great Again

Thank you
Jayden, Zoe, Leo

Hey everyone,

I have a serious issue that we want to raise awareness for. The issue is plastic straws are destroying our environment and ending up in our oceans which our turtles are eating and dying from. Every year more than 1,000 turtles die from being intoxicated from plastic pollution such as plastic straws. We have tried to slow down the process by making paper/cardboard straws which is good but also has its cons. Ways we can stop this from happening is we can all transfer over to reuse-able metal or bamboo straws, this way we don't even have to worry about anything disintegrating or even trowing anything away. They are more hygienic as well because they are straight out of a paper wrapper so no-one has touched a bunch of plastic straws that you would drink out of.

Thank you
The Plastic Straw community
