EMOTIONAL: Rabbi Oshy Goodman was making his rounds in a hospital in Sunshine Coast, Australia and met a man who hasn’t put on tefillin in 30 years. As they were reciting the Shema together, the patient suddenly went ahead and completed the prayer from deep inside his soul.

Light is winning 🔥
As Rabbi Ulman (Sydney, Australia) shares, darkness is transformed by light.
This year we transformed the darkness in dozens of hospitals across the globe, one flame, one soul and one smile at a time.
Together with dedicated Rabbis, Chaplains, and healthcare partners across the globe, something beautiful happened.

- 🎶 Singing and dancing through hospital rooms to lift spirits.
- 🍩 Delivering fresh donuts and Chanukkah gifts to patients of all ages.
- 🕎 Proudly lighting Menorahs in lobbies and corridors
- 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️Giving back to modern day Chanukah heroes — our doctors and nurses

From Sydney to California, and everywhere in between we’re seeing light win!

Hospitals can be some of the darkest of places for people. Not this Chanukah. Rabbi Sholom and Sima Steifel, accompanied by their children, shared the light and warmth of Chanukah at City of Hope Hospital.
With the recent attack to the Jewish community in Bondi, the darkness can feel overwhelming. Our response to darkness is to add in light, the world needs it more than ever now.✨

🕯️ Baruch Dayan HaEmet: Rabbi Chaim Brikman, 58
Chabad on Call mourns the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Rabbi Chaim Brikman, co-director of Chabad of Sea Gate, Brooklyn.
With humility, warmth, and clarity, he was always available to advise us on halachic matters and to support our work, and the work of Shluchim across the globe with care and insight.
Rabbi Brikman served as the devoted rabbi of Congregation Kneses Israel – Chabad of Sea Gate, and was a dedicated member of the local Hatzalah and Chevra Kadisha, always there for others in moments of need.
He is survived by his wife Rivkah, children, and grandchildren.
May his memory be a blessing.

Today, we recognize nurses around the world for their compassion, kindness, and tireless devotion to those in their care.

In the words of Rabbi Akivah, “‘Love your fellow as yourself,’ this is the basis of the entire Torah.”

Thank you for all you do!

Did you know G-d’s Name is not mentioned once in the Megillah (the Purim story)? 📜⁉️

In this dramatic tale, everything that occurred seemed natural. No seas were split, no fantastic battles were won. Everyone simply “happened” to be in the right place at the right time.

G-d’s Hand remained behind the scenes. 🎬

Purim reminds us that in the ordinary day-to-day of our lives, G-d is standing alongside us, and playing an active role in our story.

And that just like with Esther, salvation can happen in the blink of an eye. 👑

Wishing you miraculous strength and healing, and a truly joyous Purim! 🎭

Known as the New Year for Trees, today marks the season when Israel’s first trees begin to bloom, reminding us of the power of renewal and growth.

Just as seeds need nourishment and care to thrive, healthcare professionals worldwide offer empathy and expertise, which blossom into comfort and healing for patients and their families.

Thank you for everything you do, and wishing a season of healing and renewal for all! 🌳🍃

There are things that are important to us, so we speak about them.

There are things so important to us that the words flow out in a burst of emotion, rich words, expressive and vibrant.

And then there are things that shake us to the core. Things that do not care for the mind’s permission or for the right words—for the mind cannot fathom them, the most poignant words could not contain them. Things that can only break out in a cry, in a scream, and then in silence.

The very core of our souls crying, “Dad! Don’t leave me here alone!”
