The BUFT Apparel Club proudly shares that the Faculty of Apparel Studies of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), through its Departments of Apparel Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and Apparel Merchandising & Management (AMM), successfully hosted a Poster Presentation and Industry Induction Session on 11 May 2026 at the BUFT Multipurpose Hall.
The event was a vibrant celebration of innovation, academic excellence, and industry collaboration, bringing together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests from both academia and the apparel sector.
We were honored to welcome Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate), BUFT, as the Guest of Honor.
The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Engr. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Apparel Studies, while Engr. Md. Saiful Islam Shahin, Group Executive Director of New Asia Group, delivered an inspiring keynote address. Special guests included Mr. Sabbir Ahmed Abir, Head of AMM, and Mr. Md. Monirul Islam Rajib, Head of AMT.
The program provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase academic posters, innovative ideas, and industry-oriented projects, reflecting BUFT’s commitment to nurturing practical learning and research-driven innovation. Guests praised the creativity and dedication of the students, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in their academic and professional journeys.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a renewed commitment to advancing apparel education in Bangladesh. As the BUFT Apparel Club, we celebrate this milestone and remain dedicated to fostering stronger industry-academia engagement and empowering the next generation of apparel leaders.
