Ending Violence is a community effort. Thank you for the reflection, support, and action you have done this month to end Sexual Violence. We are grateful for your continued education, accountability, and advocacy within ourselves and others after this month is over. It is incredible to see the individuals in our communities come together to recognize the importance of education, prevention, and support for survivors of sexual assault. As the longest-standing worldwide awareness event for Sexual Assault Awareness, Denim Day has been an essential show of support for survivors. Thank you to all who participated in this event with us.
Although this month is over, the work does not end here. We ask that you continue the momentum and advocacy that we have witnessed and participated in this month. Encourage our legislators to create policies that support survivors. Hold our Law Enforcement Agencies and District Attorneys accountable and let them know that we, as a community, care and support our survivors in their healing and paths to justice. Let’s continue to educate ourselves and reflect on the ways we may be perpetuating violence. Plant the seeds of change within ourselves, our families, and our communities. Think of survivors every time you pull on that pair of denim shorts or wear your favorite jean jacket. .utah
