Struggling to find lasting peace and and security in DRC and Neighborhood. Held a fruitful discussion with the Members of Parliament from DRC

Visited the people displaced by war in Eastern DRC . Met on no man's land near Lendu forest. They sleep under the trees in the background. To date the total number has reached 10,000 and mostly women and children. Among them 248 pregnant women who because of Covid 19 can not cross to Uganda for medical services. We are still negotiating and seeing options. Under Songa community foundation, we took them some turplines, soap salt,rice and posho. They need food, shelter, clothing, medicines, water, sanitary facilities, medical services, ambulance, means of transport. Songa community foundation has offered the land already to resettle these refugees in Ora county, Zombo District in Uganda. We need help. Biyika Lawrence Songa
