The Mathematics Department of New Era High School, headed by Dr. Maiden C. Pascua, proudly launches the MATH-ARAL KHANA: Academic Recovery in Mathematics through Khan Academy and Gamified Flipped Learning, under the DepEd ARAL Program (RA 12028).

This innovative program aims to bridge learning gaps and boost student performance in mathematics through a blended approach that integrates Khan Academy, Flipped Learning, and Gamification—empowering learners to build a Growth Mindset and achieve mastery learning at their own pace.

💡 The initiative is led by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐆𝐢𝐥 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐉𝐫. and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀. 𝐀𝐢𝐬, the program’s focal persons, in collaboration with the NEHS Mathematics Department and MATH CLUB OFFICERS!

During the orientation, students, parents, and teachers were introduced to the vision and goals of the MATH-ARAL KHANA Program, as well as the step-by-step process of using Khan Academy to support academic recovery in mathematics.

📈 Together, we aim to transform classrooms into interactive, inclusive, and mastery-based learning spaces where every learner can grow, improve, and say with confidence—

This session will help parents understand the goals of the MathTalino Program, how Khan Academy supports their child’s learning, and how families can be active partners in their success. 🌟

Our recent departmental meeting and LAC session were filled with meaningful discussions and inspiring presentations aimed at strengthening our teaching strategies and supporting learners’ academic growth. Here are the highlights:

LAC Topic 1: Hake’s Gain –
Shared by Sir Danilo E. Nicanor, Jr. and Ma’am Josephin S. Nicanor.
- Hake’s Gain is a measure of learning effectiveness that compares students’ pre-test and post-test results. It helps us see how much improvement students achieve after instruction, ensuring our teaching strategies truly make an impact.

LAC Topic 2: MATH-ARAL KHANA –
Presented by Sir Christian Ais.
“MATH-ARAL KHANA: Academic Recovery in Mathematics through Khan Academy and Gamified Flipped Learning under the DepEd ARAL Program” – A program designed to boost student engagement, recovery, and mastery in Math using innovative and tech-driven approaches.

🔹 Treasurer’s Report – Delivered by Ma’am Jennalyn M. Fuentes.
Transparency and accountability in action as we keep track of our resources to better support departmental initiatives.

🔹 Head Teacher Hour – Led by Dr. Maiden C. Pascua.
Motivational insights and guidance were shared to inspire teachers in carrying out our mission of excellence in Mathematics education.

The Mathematics Department of New Era High School convenes for a focused and collaborative meeting to prepare for the new school year. One key item on the agenda is the implementation and refinement of the Rapid Math Assessment (RMA) — a diagnostic tool designed to quickly assess students’ foundational math skills and guide targeted instruction.🧠📈

Goals of the RMA:
✅ Identify student learning gaps early
✅ Provide data-driven support strategies
✅ Promote mastery of essential math competencies
✅ Track progress and improve overall performanceLet’s start the school year strong with meaningful data and unified direction!
