It's not too late to apply for a HCFR scholarship!
If you are a graduating senior and planning to head to college or trade school in the fall, you have until TOMORROW, May 10th @11:55 PM to submit your application. Applicants must be an active FFA or 4H member and have exhibited at the Harris County Fair for the last 2 years. Don't miss out on your chance to secure a scholarship for school!

To apply, you'll need to submit:
-An application with an essay
-A resume
-A letter of recommendation (if you're selected as a finalist)
-Participate in a finalist interview
DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by 11:55PM on May 10th, 2026. Recipients will be recognized by mid June

Finalist will be notified approximately 2 weeks after submission deadline to set up their interview with the scholarship selection committee. We expect interviews to occur the last week of May.

4-H exhibitors - If you are in high school and dream of being a mentor or advocating for agriculture- check out how to become a Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador. The program is extremely well ran and FILLED with opportunities to be involved with the Texas livestock show industry. The program offers in depth training about our industry over the summer and gives many cool chances to volunteer over the next year. It also opens the doors for future opportunities. Highly recommended!’ Check it Out !

We have some good news to share!! Exhibitor checks have been mailed for Freezer Sale, Premium awards, and the Silent Auction! We appreciate all the exhibitors that participated in the 2025 Harris County Fair!!

The Harris County Fair team spent the weekend at TAFE (Texas Association of Fairs and Events) gathering ideas and inspiration to keep enhancing the sponsor and exhibitor experience. Big plans are in motion as we continue to grow and work toward establishing our own facility!

There’s so much ahead, and we’re excited to grow our team and bring more people along for the journey. Stay tuned for more information and opportunities to get involved throughout the year!
