The Impact Hub collaborated with the Guyana Association of Professional Social Workers and held another Menstrual Awarness Campaign at the Eccles A.O.G Church on February 11, 2024. We wish to express our gratitude to the following persons:
- Ms. Debbie Joseph for coordinating and inviting the attendees.
-The members of Eccles A.O.G Church for allowing us to use their building.
-Ms. Andrea Benjamin, CEO of Food for the Poor - Guyana and her team for their generous contributions.

This is a late post... but here goes. The Impact Hub carried out another Menstrual Health Awareness Campaign at Leonora on June 4, 2023. Special thanks to Guyana Beverage Inc. for their much appreciated contributions. Thanks to Ms Bakker of the Leonora Technical and Vocational Training Centre and the girls who participated and made the venture a success.

The Impact Hub partnered with The Avyanna Foundation to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day under the theme "Making Menstruation a Normal Fact of Life by 2030." A walk from the Bank of Guyana to the Kingston Seawall was held on May 28, 2023. This date is significant as the average female has a menstrual cycle for 28 days and 5 days of menstrual periods hence the 5th month... which is May was chosen. After the walk, Dr. Ashonda Washington give the group a brief talk on the importance of proper menstrual hygiene practices which includes the use of safe and clean menstrual products, maintaining good personal hygiene and coping with menstrual discomfort effectively. Sleepy Pads were distributed to the females and attendees were given refreshments. Special thanks to all contributors and attendees for making this venture a succes.

Another Menstrual Awareness Session was successfully held by The Impact Hub in Linden on May 21, 2023. We are truly grateful to the Guyana Beverages Inc. for their dedicated sponsorship and always ensuring their is a supply of beverages for our events, to Mrs. Jacqueline Smith of JACS Restaurant, Hotel, Snackette and Bakery for her contribution of delicious snacks and to Jacqueline David for her generous contributions. Special thanks to the girls that attended the event. We were indeed pleased to educate, illustrate and discuss a number of topics that pertains to the Menstrual Cycle.
