🚨 FRAUD ALERT: Please Stay Vigilant 🚨
We recently became aware of a phishing scam targeting members of our community.
If you receive an email from [email protected] (or any email address claiming to represent NAETISL) asking for vendor payment information, requesting gift cards, asking for financial assistance, or simply asking if you are available for a "quick conversation," please treat it with caution.
❌ Do NOT provide personal, financial, or payment information.
❌ Do NOT forward suspicious messages to others.
Here are a few ways to protect yourself:
✅ Always verify the sender's email address carefully.
✅ Be cautious of urgent requests, unusual wording, or requests involving money or sensitive information.
✅ If an email appears to come from a NAETISL leader or colleague, create a new email (rather than replying) or contact them directly to confirm the request is legitimate.
✅ Change your passwords regularly and use strong, unique passwords whenever possible.
✅ Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your accounts when available.
✅ Report suspicious emails to your email provider and delete them.
Cybercriminals often impersonate organizations and trusted contacts to gain access to information or funds. Taking a moment to verify a request can help protect you and others.
Thank you for helping keep our professional community safe.
