Highlights included our International Design Award winners:
🏆 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 (reinventing wool crafts for sustainable Arctic communities)
🏆 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐚̈𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚 (turning Baltic Sea algae into building materials)

We also explored 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, from origami-inspired designs to biodegradable foams, and discussed how art and creativity can bridge science, society, and the market.

A visit to the 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 and the 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 brought our work to life with hands-on, interactive experiences.

🌿 Big news from Brussels!

The new 𝐄𝐔 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 just launched their 2-year mission at the 2025 Summer Camp. These young changemakers from across Europe will raise awareness about the bioeconomy, fight misinformation, and bring sustainable innovation closer to schools and communities.

🧵♻️ Fast fashion might be everywhere, but so is its impact. From overflowing wardrobes to rising textile waste, it's time for a shift—and young changemakers are leading the way.

The 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 was all about turning awareness into action. For four weeks, students aged 9–12 across the Netherlands repaired, collected, and campaigned for a better textile future. Along the way, they inspired families, friends, and neighborhoods to think differently about their clothing.

For the event our Dutch Hub (ArtEZ University of the Arts and Wageningen University & Research) created a workshop on 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 for the winning school! 💚👕🌍
