🌟 Championing Inclusive Period Care: Dr Shamila Ramjawan, Founder of PrincessD Menstrual Cup 🌟

Dr Shamila Ramjawan’s doctoral research on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) for adolescents with intellectual disabilities has laid the foundation for an important ongoing initiative.

As the founder of PrincessD Menstrual Cup, she has been actively working to develop and promote menstrual products and educational programmes tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of adolescents with intellectual disabilities.

This work goes beyond just product innovation — it includes advocacy, training for caregivers and educators, and raising awareness about the challenges faced by this often-overlooked group.

Her dedication is helping to break down barriers, fight period poverty, and create sustainable, dignified period care solutions that truly leave no one behind.
