SAR SAMITI SAMAJ IN COLLABORATION OF SVM ORGANIZED ONE-DAY CAREER ORIENTATION, COUNSELLING CUM AWARENESS PROGRAM AT MALBASEY (TALLO GOAN), BUDANG, WEST SIKKIM
Sar Samiti Samaj of Malbasey (Tallo Goan), Soreng in collaboration with Sikkim Vidhyarthi Morcha organized a One-day Career Orientation, Counselling cm Awareness at Malbasey, West Sikkim.
The program was graced by Mr. G. B. S***a as the Chief Guest and Ward Panchayat, President & office bearers of the Sar Samiti Samaj, Nepali Writer as the Special Guest, amongst other invitee guests Mr. Pradeep Tamang, Spokesperson, Sikkim Vidhyarthi Morcha attended the event as a Guest Speaker/ Resource Person, Mr. Bishal S***a, General Secretary, Sikkim Vidhyarthi Morcha remained present as a Chief of the Organizing Committee along active and educated youth members Mr. Aditya S***a, Mr. Bimal S***a, Mr. Buddha Hang Limboo, Ms. Methules Limboo, Ms. Mon Kumari S***a, Ms. Sanjoti S***a, Mr. Shadew S***a and Mr. Uday S***a. The program was attended by students from local area and other general public.
The program commemorated with conventional lighting of lamp ceremony by the guests followed by the welcome address by Mr. Budha Hang S***a.
The Chief Guest addressing the program emphasized upon the participation of educated youths to cater students in meeting their right choices by guiding, assisting and informing them at their every need and contribute to overall society building. Chief Guest/ President of Sar Samiti Samaj laid emphasis upon the need to organize this such program at a regular interval. He, on behalf of the society extended his thankfulness towards SVM for organizing this event and assured every assistance and collaboration to organize any such events.
As the program was organized potentially centering youth section of the public and to address and create general awareness upon youth centric issues and interests, Guest Speaker Mr. Pradeep Tamang (Spokesperson, SVM) highlighted upon various career choices for the students, state, national and international schemes and scholarships for students, etc. He emphasized upon the role of education in society building and to avail the best use of the social medias, new papers, periodicals for becoming a well-informed citizen. He also emphasized upon the democratic responsibility of being informed and participative citizen and to build up such participative citizenry, significant of right feeding of upbringing and parenting of children is key as to be role model and also role of educated youths to be a role model to other students.
Other speakers also emphasized upon the participation and role of the parents and public in imparting and facilitating best of the resources to the students.
Mr. Bishal S***a, General Secretary of SVM and Chief of the Organizing Committee highlighted about the role and importance of SVM, he laid emphasis upon installation of library at every village, necessity of timely orientation and awareness to the students. He also proposed and idea of installing library at the House of Sar Samiti Samaj to which President of the Samiti and general public wholeheartedly welcomed. Extending his gratefulness towards the Samaj and public, Mr. Bishal S***a on behalf of SVM assured for active support and participation for setting up of the library at the Samaj House. And he also assured every kind of help and guidance related to career, etc. in coming days.
Secondly, the program witnessed the distribution of books, prizes and accolades volunteered by the SVM to all the students-participants in literary competition under categories as Rhymes Competition, Hand Writing Competition, Painting Competition, Debate Competition, etc.
Program was turned to be fruitful and was accomplished with healthy participation of the public and students. The program was successfully concluded with delivery of vote of thanks by Ward Panchayat Mr. Anos S***a.
