May is National Foster Care Month. 💜

Foster care provides critical safety and support for children during times of crisis—and for many children, adoption becomes the pathway to lasting stability and connection.

This month, join us in helping remove the financial barriers that can stand between children and permanency. Your support helps complete adoptions for children in vulnerable circumstances, including older youth, sibling groups, and children with medical or special needs.

Together, we can help more children move from waiting to belonging.

“Adoption has brought stability, permanence, and a sense of belonging into Juan Pablo’s life in ways that were not possible before. Overall, the change has been profound: he has moved from navigating life largely on his own to being surrounded by consistent care, advocacy, and love. Your support helped remove a significant financial barrier at a critical moment in the adoption process and made it possible for Juan Pablo to join a permanent, loving home sooner. Because of this grant, he now has stability, access to education, healthcare, and daily support, and the opportunity to grow up knowing he is safe, valued, and deeply loved. Over the past six months, we have seen him gain confidence, build relationships, and begin to truly settle into family life with a sense of belonging.”

Juan Pablo was adopted from Colombia in 2025 by Richard and Guillermo with the help of a GOA grant.

Happy National Sibling Day!

Did you know that siblings are one of Gift of Adoption's priorities? In 2025, 21% of GOA grants united or preserved biological siblings in the same family. Lila was adopted into the same family as her older, biological sister in 2025 with the help of a GOA grant. Her parents shared, "Lila has truly been such a blessing to our family. It’s beautiful to watch her and her sister together, seeing all the ways they are alike and the special bond they share. We can’t imagine life without her. It was thanks to Gift of Adoption and the financial assistance that helped us bring Lila home.”

“Adoption has given Keston the gift of stability, security, and a family who was ready and able to meet his every need from the very beginning. We’ve had the privilege of watching him grow, thrive, and become exactly who he was meant to be, surrounded by consistency, support, and unconditional love from day one. When we received this grant, it came at the exact moment we needed it. We are incredibly grateful for organizations like GOA that walk alongside families through the adoption process. The financial support is life-changing, but what has meant just as much is the continued care beyond the grant itself. Knowing that there are people who not only help bring children home, but also check in after placement and finalization, speaks volumes about their heart for families.”

“LeAnne is doing so well. She’s growing like a beautiful dandelion. We would not have been able to adopt Leanne without this grant - she would have been placed into foster care. Leanne is in a stable home getting the care she needs because of your big hearts. She brings so much joy to our lives with her laughter and sweet giggles. We can never thank you enough!”

Shaylon was adopted in 2022 by Jon with the help of a grant from GOA. Jon recently shared the following 3-year update:

“Since the adoption, Shaylon has been thriving. He's settled well into our family routines and is building strong relationships with relatives, community, and friends. He’s still quick to make jokes and lighten the mood, enjoys playful banter. When interested in something, Shaylon stays focused until it's figured out. I want to thank Gift of Adoption for their generous grant; it truly meant the world to me. It came at such an important time and helped me tremendously during my adoption process. I will always be grateful for your kindness and support.”

“Adoption has brought Livia into her permanent family, and it has been such a beautiful transformation to witness. She feels safe and loved, and we see her thriving in every way—physically, socially, emotionally, and academically. Her sweet personality is blossoming more each day, and she brings such joy with her kind and fun spirit.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of donors. Your kindness not only lightens the financial burden of adoption but also makes it possible for children to be welcomed into loving families. Because of your generosity, lives are being transformed—ours included—and we will always treasure the role you played in bringing Livia home.”

Livia was adopted from the USA in 2025 by Annissa and Martin.
