𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲.🤰🏻

As we close , we honor the courage and strength of mothers like Algen, who were pregnant when multiple earthquakes struck the Philippines.

Algen went to labor while the continuing earthquake aftershocks hit Bogo City, Cebu. With limited access to supplies, she arrived at the Cebu Provincial hospital with only an old receiving blanket with holes for her baby.

Through a UNFPA Maternity pack, made possible with the support of Australia in The Philippines, Algen received a clean receiving blanket and other essential newborn supplies— bringing comfort, dignity, and hope.

Algen’s story is a reminder that emergencies don’t pause pregnancy or childbirth. Together with our partners, UNFPA remains committed to ensuring that lifesaving maternal care reach communities who need them most— because every mother deserves a safe start, even in the aftermath of disaster.

📈 2025 Top Health Concerns Among Filipinos

The Philippine Statistics Authority reports the top 5 causes of death in the country for January to December 2025 (Provisional as of 30 April 2026).

Leading the list were:

❤️ Ischaemic heart diseases
🔬 Neoplasms
🧠 Cerebrovascular diseases
🌬️ Pneumonia
🩸 Diabetes mellitus

While the numbers reflect ongoing health challenges, they also remind us to take small steps toward better lifestyle choices, regular check-ups, and stronger support for community health.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT

In line with our commitment to maintaining the security of the school premises and ensuring the safety of our learners, faculty, and staff, the following measures shall be implemented effective June 23, 2026:

🎒 Bag Inspection – All students shall undergo bag inspection at the school gate before entering the academic area. School security personnel are authorized to confiscate items that may pose a threat to safety and security.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parental Support – Parents and guardians are encouraged to check their children's bags and belongings before coming to school. Toy guns, sharp objects, and other potentially harmful items are strictly prohibited inside the school premises.

🚫 Restricted Entry – Unauthorized individuals, unenrolled students, and outsiders without proper identification and prior coordination will not be allowed to enter the school premises.

🤝 Let us continue working together to keep Salcedo National High School a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for all. 🏫✨
