Thanks to everyone who attended the town hall last night, it was a huge success! Let’s take that same energy and enthusiasm to the Union City council meeting on Tuesday, where we will ask for a 60 day pause on whether or not to include data centers in existing warehouse zoning. During this time, we want to ensure that all of the municipalities in southern Fulton County are on the same page with regards to setbacks and buffers. We also need to map out all of the locations of data centers, and ensure that our local fire departments are equipped to handle disasters that may occur inside these structures. Lastly, community members need to use this time to craft our community benefits for companies that will potentially make billions of dollars from these monstrosities.
