Philippine Conference on Community Health Community Service A dimple of foresight, a crevice of understanding and a groundbreaking deed. A revolutionary thrust that is community health.

Through the Philippine Conference on Community Health, the Regionalization Students Organization (RSO) of the UP College of Medicine helps shine light on current and pressing matters on the Philippine health status. These includes: the Philippine healthcare system as a potential artillery to improve health status, health budget, and other socioeconomic influences; the effect of the maldistributio

n of physicians in the country; and, the involvement and exposure of medical students to the actual health situation in communities. What we can wield with a mere pair of hands we can wield better where a hundred pairs hold together. We are not medical students. We are student doctors. Optimism shall percolate where there is fire and we, students and/or doctors, are coal mine. As far as revolutions go, we, too shall spread like wildfire.

Mapiya a gagawii sii rkano langon!

Throughout the years, the PCCH served as an impetus for change. True to this mission, this year’s PCCH aims to provide an avenue for discourse on how socio-political issues determine health, to demonstrate the interrelation of the multiple facets of health (from the grassroots to the political corridors), and to inspire healthcare professionals and health allies to pursue a community-oriented career.

Now in its 8th year, the Philippine Conference on Community Health aims to cast a light on the aggravated truths and realistic resolutions on a pseudo-post pandemic Philippines with “HAYAG: Singanen o Masa - The Filipino Hope” this April 23-24, 2022. 🇵🇭☀✨

PCCH 2022 is presented by the UPM Regionalization Students’ Organization, UP Medicine Student Council, ASMPH Student Council, ASMPH-SC Public Health Council, UP Medical Students for Social Responsibility, and ASMPH Class of 2025.
