VYG Hangout 🇼🇸 🌿: Drag-net !

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
1 Peter 5:8-9

The youth meeting was a blast! As the young people had a great time, from dancing to bible quiz, but one thing that stood out was the word of God that was shared. To be vigilant and aware of the enemy, as the Devil uses many bait/distractions all for one purpose ; "and that is to trap and lead us away from God's presence."

VYG Hangout 🇼🇸 🌿: Doubts !

The Hangout yesterday wasn't just competitive, fun, exciting, but it also answered the question of "Why so many youths find it difficult to change, to surrender and even to receive the Holy Spirit?"

And the answer is Doubts. Thoughts like "I'm not worthy", "I will never change", " My sins are unforgivable " , these are Doubts to keep many young people trapped and down in life.

Go against it and Never give up! Doubt on those Doubts!

Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. Romans 14:22–23

This has become the norm of many young people nowadays, the phrase "Almost There" is ingrained as part of their life, where many are unable to change, to accomplish, to overcome, to surrender their life to God, to receive the Holy Spirit. The problem lies in the choice of relying on one's own will, understanding and strength and not on God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,And lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct your paths."
