Thật vui khi cùng ngồi lại để xem chúng ta đã làm được gì. Vẫn là mang dịch vụ chăm sóc SKTT, cụ thể là chăm sóc trầm cảm, đến gần nhất, tốt nhất cho người dân, hàng nghìn người dân tỉnh Thanh hoá, được sàng lọc và phát hiện, mời vào các nhóm trị liệu tâm lý tại trạm y tế, vẫn là mô hình chăm sóc kết hợp theo từng bước collaborative stepped care, mô hình đã được BasicNeeds Việt nam xây dựng và hoàn thiện, triển khai trong hàng chục năm trời ở Thừa Thiên Huế, Đà Nẵng, Thái Nguyên, Ninh Bình, tp Hồ Chí Minh, Thanh Hoá, với hàng chục cán bộ t tế cơ sở và bệnh viện chuyên khoa tâm thần, cộng tác viên được đào tạo, cầm tay chỉ việc, nâng cao năng lực để triển khai thành công mô hình đúng theo thiết kế. Nhưng lần này tốn kém, vất vả hơn một chút (nhiều chút) vì còn làm nghiên cứu RCT bài bản. Dám mạnh dạn chơi lớn vì có người em Phạm Thị Thu Hưởng nhận kèo làm nghiên cứu, cung cấp thêm những bằng chứng khoa học có giá trị về mô hình can thiệp của chúng ta ♥️
Nghe em Giang báo cáo tổng kết hoạt động, rồi em Hường báo cáo nghiên cứu, anh Tân đại diện trạm y tế chia sẻ cảm nhận, nghe bs Tân giám đốc bệnh viện chia sẻ những trăn trở về kế hoạch sắp tới của bệnh viện, những khích lệ, ghi nhận của lãnh đạo sở y tế giành cho dự án, giành cho chúng tôi, thật sự là một trải nghiệm ấm lòng và thật tự hào.
Chúng ta sẽ còn tiếp tục nỗ lực, keep going!

Join Peter Yaro (CEO, BasicNeeds-Ghana ) and Thanh Tam Nguyen Nguyen (CEO, BasicNeeds Vietnam) in conversation with Chris Underhill MBE (Founder, BasicNeeds) as they reflect on the journey of BasicNeeds— Together, they’ll share stories from the field, explore hard-earned lessons, and look ahead to the future.

About BasicNeeds:
Founded in 2000 by social entrepreneur Chris Underhill and partners from the Global South, BasicNeeds pioneered a community-based approach to mental health and development. At the heart of this approach was the BasicNeeds Model (also known as the Model for Mental Health and Development), which mobilizes local resources to deliver cost-effective, holistic mental health services.

Over time, country programmes became independently registered organisations, continuing to sustain the work. In 2022, they came together with CBM to form the BasicNeeds Network—a platform that strengthens local action while fostering global advocacy and knowledge-sharing.

Community based depression care training for Caritas Dalat. All participants are so committed and the training is going so well. So happy to share BasicNeeds VN model and approach. Our model will be soon replaced by our partner, Caritas Dalat.
