The Canada-Vietnam Alumni Association (CVAA) was founded in March 2016, with the support of the Consulate General of Canada in HCMC, in hope of creating a social network that connects Canadian alumni and international students from Vietnam with prospect Vietnamese international students at home. CVAA strives to be a community where Vietnamese students who have had the experience of going abroad to

Canada, or is currently studying there, help out Vietnamese students at home prepare for their journey abroad. We believe that this is a way for Canada’s international Vietnamese alumni to give back to their community at home. By providing insightful advices and helping the future generation go abroad, international Vietnamese alumni would be helping out the future experts that can come back and help our country develop further. In addition, the recent Canada-Vietnam Youth Development Scholarship (sponsored by Dan-D Foods and administered by CVAA) is the first of many future scholarships that we would like to give out to young talented Vietnamese students, in order for them to come back from Canada as leaders, with an abundance of knowledge of how to develop Vietnam into a better place. Studying abroad in Canada is not only a chance for our younger generations to learn from a world-class education system, but also a chance for them to experience and return home with the beloved Canadian values and ethics.
