The Christina Noble Children's Foundation is dedicated to giving children back their childhood, guiding and empowering them to reach their full potential, and break generational poverty. The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) is dedicated to serving the physical, medical, educational and emotional needs of vulnerable children. We establish long-term relationships with the children we support and empower them to live happy, emotionally rich, and independent lives.

The Christina Noble Children's Foundation initiated the Christina Noble Education Programme (CNEP) in response to one of the most pressing challenges facing young people in Vietnam today: the gap between education and employment.

Cohort 3 has now launched in Ho Chi Minh City, welcoming another cohort of students from disadvantaged backgrounds across Vietnam from the Mekong River Delta to the Central Highlands, into a programme designed to prepare them for the professional world.

Our students are learning alongside leaders from the business world and employment market, top academic institutions, and building skills in innovation and entrepreneurship through Vietnam National Universities Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.

CNEP goes far beyond scholarships. Through fellowships, mentorship, internships, and, international learning exchange, we invest in the whole young person, equipping them for the real skills they need for the world today.

Since its launch, CNEP has seen strong results, with the majority of graduates securing internships and all students matched with professional mentors to guide their transition into the workforce.

We believe that when our young people are given the right support at the right time, they will shape the future of their families, their communities, and their country, and finally breaking generational cycles of hardship.

Yesterday, it was International Children's Day (1 June). The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation in Vietnam and Mongolia celebrated the day, as we do every year with our wonderful children.

We are incredibly proud of every child and sincerely grateful to everyone who supports us across all our programmes, as we fight for a safer, healthier and more loving world for all children.

🌱 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡, 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦🌏

The Christina Noble Children's Foundation was honoured to join the diplomatic community in Vietnam, governmental partners, Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisation (HUFO), peer NGOs, and local communities at a tree planting ceremony, marking the launch of the afforestation movement and the establishment of the 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

The day reflected a belief at the heart of CNCF’s work: the wellbeing of children and the wellbeing of the environment are deeply connected. Since 1989, our work in Vietnam has supported children and communities through care, education, healthcare, clean water, bridges, and community development.

Initiatives such as planting "𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬" help build resilience, protect natural resources, and create safer, healthier futures for children and families.

During the ceremony, trees were planted and food packages were presented to the local community. We also visited Phu An Bamboo Village where bamboo is helping to prevent flooding, reduce soil erosion, restore damaged land, replace single-use plastics, and support meaningful livelihoods for mothers through traditional craft production.

CNCF remains committed to working alongside HUFO, diplomatic partners, governmental bodies, peer foundations, and Vietnamese leaders in service of children and the future they will inherit.

Our CEO Helenita Noble and CNCF Country Director Mongolia Amaraa Bor met with Ms. 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧- Head of the General Authority for Family, Child Protection and Development Mongolia.

During the meeting, the Agency formally extended congratulations to Helenita Noble following her receipt of the Order of Friendship Medal, awarded by decree of the President of Mongolia in recognition of her longstanding contribution to the wellbeing and protection of vulnerable children in Mongolia - - which her mother, our Founder Christina Noble, also received in 2009. 💚

The discussion reflected on the long-standing partnership of almost three decades between the Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) and Mongolia’s child protection sector, as well as the Foundation’s continued contribution to child welfare, education, psychosocial support, and community-based services for vulnerable children and families across the country.

The Agency also highlighted recent collaboration through CNCF's 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 - a training programme implemented across five western provinces of Mongolia aimed at strengthening national capacity in adolescent mental health and art-based psychosocial support approaches for professionals working with children and families.

The meeting reinforced CNCF’s strong institutional relationships within Mongolia’s child protection sector and reflected continued recognition of the Foundation as a trusted long-term partner contributing both direct services and technical expertise within the national child welfare landscape.

A meaningful reflection from 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐌𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐫, 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚, after reading Christina Noble's book, "Bridge Across My Sorrows", recently translated and published in Mongolia by Admon Publishers.

In a recent post, the Minister reflected on Christina's life story from the hardship of her childhood born into poverty, being orphaned at the age of 10, to her experience of living as a child on the streets of Dublin, Ireland.

He wrote that Christina's story could be seen as a 20th-century Charles Dickens' "David Copperfield" a moving account of childhood adversity, survival and courage.

These early experiences would ultimately shape the course of Christina's life and lead to the founding of the Christina Noble Children's Foundation in 1989. Her own childhood gave her a profound understanding of suffering, poverty and abandonment, and the courage, instinct and first-hand insight to build a Foundation that has since established more than 180 programmes across education, healthcare, community development and rural capital assistance, supporting vulnerable children, families and communities facing abject poverty and hardship.

𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐫 recognised the work of Christina's Foundation, which has been operating in Vietnam since 1989 and Mongolia since 1997. His wider message was especially meaningful:

"I am deeply grateful for the work of Christina's Foundation in my country. Protecting children's rights and building safer systems for children requires the participation of everyone. A society that dedicates itself to the wellbeing and future of its children will always be the winner of the future."

We are grateful to H.E. Mr Purevsuren Naranbayar, Minister of Education, for his thoughtful words, and to our team in Mongolia for continuing to carry Christina's legacy forward with such dedication and heart.

Meaningful change for children and young people does not happen in isolation. It requires collaboration, trust, long-term commitment, and systems that recognise the dignity, experience, and potential of 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝.

Our CEO, Helenita Noble MBE, together with the Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) Mongolia team, met with the new UNICEF Mongolia Representative Ms Beate Dastel to discuss shared priorities in child protection, adolescent mental health, and juvenile justice, and to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration in the times ahead.

The discussion focused on how trauma-informed and child-centred approaches can be more meaningfully embedded into education and mental health services, particularly through stronger school-based support systems and earlier intervention for vulnerable children and young people.

We also discussed the importance of locally led, sustainable models of care that respond to immediate needs while helping to build safer environments, stronger communities, and better long-term outcomes for children across Mongolia.

"Childhood is the very foundation of life." Mothers lay the first stone. ❤️

This International Mother's Day, we remember all the beautiful mothers, whose unconditional love makes sacred that bond between mother and child.

That same unconditional love is at the heart of everything we do for our children. It always has been and it always will.

For 37 years, the Christina Noble Children's Foundation has worked alongside thousands of mothers in Vietnam and Mongolia, who work tirelessly and with great courage to give their children a safer and healthier start in life.

We also hold close the children growing up without their mothers, and those mothers carrying the absence of a child.

To all Mothers, those who are with us - near or far - and those that have passed - remembering you all on International Mother's Day. 💗💐
