Over the past year, the Global Shapers Ho Chi Minh City Hub has continued to believe that meaningful change begins with people, conversations, and the courage to act.

🌍 Mang tiếng nói của thanh niên Việt Nam đến các cuộc đối thoại quốc tế tại Diễn đàn Kinh tế Mùa Thu 2025, cùng thảo luận với lãnh đạo World Economic Forum về AI có trách nhiệm, quản trị AI và tương lai của chuyển đổi số, chuyển đổi xanh.

✨ Exciting news from our Ho Chi Minh City Hub!

We're delighted to share that our Shaper - Impact Officer 2025-2026 My Dang - has been selected for the UNITAR Green Economic Acceleration: A Japan–ASEAN Strategic Programme for Sustainable Green Finance. 🌿

Selected among outstanding applicants from across ASEAN, My will join a regional learning programme led by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), bringing together government officials, private-sector leaders and sustainability professionals to strengthen collaboration on green finance and sustainable economic transformation across the region.

Over the next 11 weeks, participants will take part in self-paced learning, expert-led webinars, collaborative workshops and peer exchanges, while developing practical and fundable green economy project proposals. Top-performing participants will advance to Phase II for more intensive training and expert mentoring.

We're proud to see My representing our Hub in this regional initiative and look forward to the ideas, partnerships and experiences she'll bring back to our community.

✨ Here's what's inside Youth Pulse 2026

The World Economic Forum released Youth Pulse 2026 earlier this year, a survey of 4,600 young people across 144 countries.

And honestly, the findings are worth knowing.

57% of young people say financial stress is their #1 anxiety, yet purpose and balance still rank above salary when choosing a career. 59% use AI daily, but only 3.7% have ever been formally trained on it. 56% fear climate change more than armed conflict. 95% say being part of an intentional community changed how they show up in the world.

We broke down the key findings across 6 topics - economy, politics, AI & tech, society, environment and policy priorities in the slides above. Tap each one for the full breakdown.

Some of it will surprise you. Some of it will feel very familiar.

✨ Two pieces of good news from our Ho Chi Minh Hub family!

We're happy to share that our Shaper Wynn (Nguyen) Quang has been selected for two exciting opportunities this year. 🌟

Wynn will join the One Young World ASEAN Leadership Forum 2026 in Indonesia from (1–3 October) - an annual regional gathering that brings together youth changemakers from across Southeast Asia to connect, exchange ideas, and take action on shared challenges. Now in its 4th edition, the Forum has grown into one of the region's most vibrant platforms for young leaders committed to real impact. ✨

She has also been appointed Sub-Regional Steward for Youth Pulse 2027 - World Economic Forum's flagship annual survey on young people's priorities, concerns, and aspirations. Through this role within the Global Shapers network, she'll help amplify youth voices from across the region. ✨

We're proud to have Wynn as part of this Hub, and excited to see her carry these experiences back to our community. 💓

🌍 Your voice belongs in the room where decisions are made.

The Youth Pulse 2027 Survey is now open, and we hope everyone will be part of it.

Youth Pulse is the World Economic Forum's flagship annual survey on young people's priorities, concerns, and aspirations. By completing the Survey, you're contributing to a global evidence base that helps inform advocacy, policy discussions and efforts to advance youth empowerment around the world.

Last year, Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, was one of the most underrepresented regions in the data. The conversations happening about our generation are missing our perspective.

[YÊN PROJECT] GIỚI THIỆU CoE #4 - GIỮ KẾT NỐI VÀ NGẮT KẾT NỐI BẰNG GIAO TIẾP TRẮC ẨN 🌿

🌳 Sau Circle #3, chúng ta đã cùng nhau suy ngẫm về việc ngắt kết nối như một cách để lắng nghe bản thân sâu sắc hơn. Điều đó có nghĩa rằng khi ta ngắt kết nối với điều này thực chất là để giữ kết nối với một điều gì khác. Ngắt kết nối đôi khi cũng là cách chúng ta tạm dừng để nhìn lại nhu cầu nào là quan trọng với mình, với người. Và chúng ta hoàn toàn có sự lựa chọn trong các mối quan hệ: khi nào nên ở lại, khi nào nên rời đi, khi nào nên lên tiếng, và khi nào nên lặng im để chăm sóc cho các nhu cầu đó.

🌱 Trong môi trường làm việc hiện đại, ranh giới giữa công việc và đời sống cá nhân ngày càng trở nên mong manh. Những tin nhắn ngoài giờ, email cuối tuần hay áp lực phải luôn “sẵn sàng phản hồi” khiến nhiều người khó có được khoảng nghỉ thực sự. Ngắt kết nối trong công việc không có nghĩa là thờ ơ hay thiếu trách nhiệm. Đó là khả năng thiết lập ranh giới lành mạnh: biết khi nào cần hiện diện trọn vẹn cho công việc, và khi nào cần tạm dừng để chăm sóc bản thân, gia đình và các mối quan hệ quan trọng khác. Giữ kết nối và ngắt kết nối, vì thế, không chỉ là những hành động kỹ thuật, mà còn là những lựa chọn được thực hiện bằng sự thấu hiểu nhu cầu của chính mình và sự tôn trọng nhu cầu của người khác.

🌿 Trong Circle of Empathy #4, chúng ta sẽ tiếp nối những chia sẻ từ vòng tròn trước để cùng thực hành Giao tiếp Trắc Ẩn (Nonviolent Communication) trong việc giữ kết nối và ngắt kết nối. Thông qua những hoạt động trải nghiệm và đối thoại, mỗi người sẽ có cơ hội nhận diện cảm xúc, nhu cầu của mình khi ngắt kết nối và học cách bày tỏ, thiết lập ranh giới, đưa ra những lựa chọn phù hợp với bản thân mà vẫn nuôi dưỡng sự tôn trọng và kết nối với người khác.

✨ Chúng mình hy vọng vòng tròn này sẽ mở ra một không gian an toàn để mỗi người thực hành lắng nghe bằng sự hiện diện, giao tiếp bằng sự thấu cảm, và tìm thấy những cách kết nối lành mạnh hơn với chính mình cũng như với những người xung quanh.

🌿 YÊN Project là một dự án cộng đồng hướng đến việc xây dựng các không gian an toàn cho người trẻ (18–35 tuổi) được thực hành chia sẻ và lắng nghe thấu cảm. Từ đó, mỗi người có thể tự áp dụng những trải nghiệm này vào cuộc sống và các mối quan hệ xung quanh mình, nhằm nuôi dưỡng sức khỏe tinh thần, tăng cường khả năng tự phục hồi nội tại, và xây dựng các kết nối bền vững.
