🌟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 🧠✨

We are delighted to introduce Dr. Nguyen Trong Kien from the Faculty of Electronics Engineering at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology in Vietnam. Dr. Kien's expertise lies in the field of electrophysiological signal processing, biomedical engineering instrumentation, and the human visual system.

🎓 𝐃𝐫 𝐍𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐞𝐧: Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Faculty of Electronics Engineering, Vietnam

📚 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲:
Dr. Kien's field of specialty includes electrophysiological signal processing, biomedical engineering instrumentation, and the human visual system. He has expertise in various techniques such as noise cancellation, frequency analysis using fast Fourier transform, wavelet analysis, Hilbert-Huang transform, and Holo-Hilbert spectral analysis.

In his abstract titled "Holo-Hilbert Spectrum Analysis for Analyzing Complex Signals," Dr. Kien presents an alternative approach to analyzing complex signals that traditional Fourier-based methods often struggle with. The Holo-Hilbert Spectrum (HHS) analysis, based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert transform, offers a comprehensive two-dimensional frequency representation for complex signals, particularly in biomedical applications.

The advantage of EMD is its ability to decompose complex signals into single modes called intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). When combined with Hilbert transform, this leads to the extraction of carrier frequency information, known as Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The HHS analysis extends this approach by extracting the amplitude modulation feature from each IMF, providing a full-dimensional frequency spectrum that includes both carrier and amplitude modulation features.

Dr. Kien highlights the advantages of HHS analysis over traditional Fourier-based methods, emphasizing its ability to preserve physical properties of the signal and extract meaningful information from complex waveforms. He showcases successful applications of HHS analysis, including detecting nonlinear components in steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEPs) and accurately determining respiratory rates from wrist photoplethysmogram signals.

Through examples using simulated and real data, Dr. Kien demonstrates the efficacy of HHS analysis in various applications, such as speech processing, medical diagnosis, and brain-computer interfaces. The technique's ability to overcome the limitations of traditional methods makes it a valuable tool in understanding and analyzing complex signals.

📆 Save the date and make sure to attend this enlightening session! Join us to learn from Dr. Nguyen Trong Kien's expertise in Holo-Hilbert Spectrum Analysis and its applications in analyzing complex signals. Expand your knowledge and gain practical insights into this powerful technique that can revolutionize signal processing in various fields.
