OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
PB JULITO D. OGSIMER LIFTS CLASS SUSPENSION AT LAPASAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City โ The Office of the Punong Barangay announces that the temporary suspension of classes at Lapasan National High School has been lifted, with regular classes set to resume tomorrow.
The decision was made following the completion of the initial investigation into the social media threats that prompted the preventive suspension of classes. Based on the findings of the investigation and the recommendations of the Philippine National Police and other concerned authorities, there is no verified imminent threat that would justify the continued suspension of classes.
Punong Barangay Julito D. Ogsimer extends his sincere appreciation to the Philippine National Police, the school administration, teachers, parents, students, and the entire community for their vigilance, cooperation, and support during the investigation.
"The safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and school personnel remain our highest priority. We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement agencies and school officials to ensure that our schools remain safe and secure for everyone," PB Ogsimer said.
The Barangay Government of Lapasan likewise reminds the public to exercise responsibility in the use of social media and to immediately report any credible threats or suspicious activities to the proper authorities. The spread of false or unverified information only creates unnecessary fear and may hinder legitimate security efforts.
The Barangay Government remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of every Lapasanon through proactive leadership, close coordination with partner agencies, and swift action whenever public safety is at stake.
