RISE allows passionate and action-oriented youth across Vietnam (ages 16 to 24) to assemble, brainstorm and collaborate with other like-minded peers to bring about impactful solutions towards a sustainable future in its host country. With the support of a well-established network of both countries’ delegates, alumni, advisors and mentors, ALVD is believed to be just the right launching pad for this ambitious project. Chair of AVLD, Cat Thao Nguyen, said “I am incredibly excited about the launch of RISE. With this initiative, we affirm that young Vietnamese people are passionate, dynamic and innovative. We want to provide a platform to ignite them to use these qualities towards sustainable and inclusive development as Vietnam takes its place especially in the new normal world. We cannot wait to see the social and environmental impact that a network of young Vietnamese people can make in our country and beyond.”
***Why does RISE exist? RISE sees a world where every single passionate and action oriented Vietnamese youth can turn their ideas into reality and scalable impacts.
***What will RISE do? To raise awareness within its inaugural year; and later to ignite the power and potential of young people by allowing them an opportunity to think global and act local; i.e. brainstorm and turn United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into actions; scale and sustain the impacts of these activities; and lastly encourage more people to join forces by these pioneers’ examples. RISE is for passionate and action oriented Vietnamese youth (ages 16 to 24). RISE seeks to be the spark that will provide support from brainstorming sessions to executing projects and mentorship so they can take their ideas and turn them into realities.
