Last year, UpYouth ran our first Junior Startup School and saw firsthand what happens when high schoolers get early exposure to entrepreneurship. Students started building projects, finding builder communities, and realizing they didnโ€™t need to wait to create things.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re bringing MLV Hanoi back this summer alongside UNIS Hanoi and Dylan Kim, founder of MLV Ignite.

Dylan has also been one of the young builders contributing to our ecosystem since 2023, and weโ€™re excited to work together to expand access for more high schoolers this year.

We believe Vietnam needs more real young founders under 30, and that starts by giving ambitious high schoolers access to the right room early.

At MLV Hanoi, high schoolers will:

James Nguyen (UY'25) and his team spent 7 months building an EdTech startup in Vietnam: graded 6,000+ submissions, pitched 300+ teachers, pushed 2,000+ commits, burned $1,000 in AI tokens, and closed zero deals.

Their story says it all: if you want to change the world, you have to be willing to be changed by it first, to get punched in the mouth by reality, map every wall you hit, and come back stronger. They aren't walking away. They wrote it all down and are already moving onto the next thing.
