The Alumni Association is comprised of 12 chapters located in Anguilla, Antigua, Dominica, Florida, Nevis, St. Maarten, St. Thomas/St. John, Tortola, Washington D.C. Metro Area and South Atlantic. The success of UVI is contingent upon the contributions of its constituencies, primarily its alumni, which is the largest constituency.

Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and their families came together to celebrate Juneteenth with good food, music, fellowship, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated freedom, reflected on our history, and enjoyed a wonderful day together.

Happy Juneteenth, Buccaneers!

Today, we celebrate freedom, honor those who came before us, and reflect on the journey that brought us here. We recognize the strength of those who endured, the voices that refused to be silenced, and the generations who fought for a future they might never see.

As alumni of the University of the Virgin Islands, we are part of that continuing story—a story of perseverance, achievement, and hope.

May we never forget the sacrifices that made our opportunities possible, and may we continue to build a future worthy of their dreams.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) will confer 280 degrees during its 2026 Commencement Ceremonies, taking place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Elridge W. Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas, and on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Island Center for the Performing Arts on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. Both ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m.
