The SJLC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of lands of important historic and natural beauty on St. SJLC is a 501(c)3 non-profit land trust. Our mission is to protect mostly coastal properties of high conservation value and lands that surround or interconnect these untrammeled areas. We are completely independent from the VI National Park, yet collaborate with them for land
protection outside its authorized boundaries. We are an all-volunteer organization united in the task of acquiring land through donations like several parcels including beachfront at Haulover on St. John and a pristine parcel on Lovango Cay, but we need your help! We need funding to help us cover the costs of this and other important conservation projects — for unavoidable costs such as signage, liability insurance, accountant fees, website hosting, and the like. We also raise the necessary funds for saving threatened parcels. Would you consider making a charitable contribution? You can help us continue to preserve precious natural areas that are of great public benefit but under a substantial threat of development by making a tax deductible donation now — you will be helping preserve a piece of St. We are also available for donations of land, conservation easements to protect existing properties, or other variations on natural area protection. Such transactions can realize substantial tax benefits for the donor (eg. a tax deduction for its fair market value that can be written off against ordinary income for the next five years).
