The Trump administration says states could lose 20% of certain FEMA grants unless they adopt federal election requirements, including hand-marked paper ballots, manual audits, and voter-roll checks using DHS data. Twenty-five states and Washington, D.C. are suing, calling it unconstitutional federal pressure.

The U.S. war with Iran is now estimated at $37.5 billion, including projected costs through September. The Trump administration is asking Congress for another $67.1 billion in Defense Department funding tied to the Iran war. But Congress has not passed a specific authorization for the conflict.

The Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC) was created in 1996 but had never received a case until now. Trump’s Justice Department filed to remove an unnamed noncitizen using classified evidence. The judge has not approved the case and requested more explanation for how the allegations fit terrorism law.

The Supreme Court ruled that Trump could not use emergency powers under IEEPA to impose these tariffs. His administration is now turning to Section 301 investigations and other trade laws to rebuild parts of the agenda through a slower legal process.

The route changed. The policy did not.

Trump says China obtained data linked to 220 million American voters in 2020 and that intelligence officials buried it. A 2021 assessment acknowledged Chinese voter-data collection but found no evidence the election was altered.

Six years later, the public still has not seen the full evidence behind the strong claim.

Trump Accounts would give eligible U.S. children born from 2025 to 2028 a $1,000 government-funded investment account. Families and employers can add up to $5,000 a year, with money invested in U.S. stock index funds.

The goal is early wealth-building. But the biggest gains may still go to families who can afford to keep contributing.

The Supreme Court rejects Trump’s birthright citizenship order, 6–3. The order sought to deny U.S. citizenship to some children born in the U.S. if neither parent was a citizen or green-card holder.

The ruling keeps birthright citizenship under the Fourteenth Amendment in place.

The Supreme Court just gave presidents more power over independent agencies. In a 6–3 ruling, the Court struck down a 91-year-old precedent that protected independent agencies from being fired without legal cause.

This doesn’t just affect the FTC: the agency policing scams and corporate monopolies. It reshapes dozens of federal commissions.
