Our students had the opportunity to connect with Christopher Jacobs Jr., CHS Class of 2023, for an inspiring lunchtime chat about his journey since graduating from high school. Christopher shared his experiences, challenges, and lessons learned while encouraging students to keep moving forward, even when the road gets difficult. His key takeaways that resonated with our students:

✨Mistakes don’t define you—what matters is that you learn from them.
✨Surround yourself with like-minded people who encourage growth.
✨The journey may not always be easy, but perseverance matters.

It was a great reminder that success is a journey, and sometimes the most valuable lessons come from the experiences along the way. Thank you Mr. Jacobs, for coming back to CHS and sharing your story, wisdom, and encouragement with our students.

From hearing directly from industry professionals during the Careers in Construction Panel to participating in interactive activities and networking, the day was filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and explore future career pathways.

Experiences like these help our students see that CTE is more than a classroom—it’s a pathway to real careers, real connections, and real opportunities! A special thank you to the VI Board for Career and Technical Education and all of the industry professionals and community partners who made this experience possible!
