Non-Profit supporting At-Risk Youths in the V.I. My Brother’s Workshop provides paid training and mentoring to “high-risk and at-risk” youth, ages 16-24.

The program targets youth who have dropped out of school, are marginally literate and live in poverty. Most of the youth trained have been in a gang or have a juvenile criminal record. MBW trains these youth in basic building skills like carpentry, plumbing and masonry. This paid training provides a positive alternative to the vicious cycle of gangs, crimes, drugs and violence.

My Brother’s Workshop (MBW), founded in 2007, is committed to ending youth crime and violence in the USVI. Through mentoring, counseling, education, on‑the‑job training, and job placement, MBW provides a holistic path rooted in hope and opportunity for at‑risk and high‑risk youth.

What began with just four young people has grown into a program serving 100–125 trainees each year between our St. Thomas and St. Croix programs, ages 16–24. This transformative work is possible because of dedicated supporters and local partners who believe in second chances and brighter futures for our youth.

My Brother’s Workshop's (MBW) Executive Director, Jenny Hawkes, and Program Director, Chrystie Payne, are proud to be representing MBW at the Just Beat It Tennis Tournament hosted by the Tennis Club of St. Croix in support of the nonprofit Cancer Support VI (CSVI), which does amazing work for the community.

If you’re on St. Croix, we invite you to stop by and cheer on the players and this meaningful cause.
