🏁 ST. CROIX NATIONAL GUARD ROAD RACE RESULTS 🏁
What a day of racing on East Airport Road.
From the opening lap to the final sprint, riders across every category brought intensity, strategy, and determination to the course. The St. Croix National Guard Road Race once again showcased the depth of talent within the Virgin Islands cycling community and produced exciting competition from start to finish.
The Masters category lived up to all the pre-race talk. Friendly rivalries, challenges, and plenty of confidence made this one of the most anticipated races of the day. When the racing was over, Miguel Cruz claimed the top step of the podium with a time of 54:42, followed by Carl Beckstedt in 54:47 and James Matthew in 1:00:19.
In the Elite field, Stephen Swanton earned the victory in 1:58:26, with Robin Seila finishing second in 1:58:28 and Glenn Massiah rounding out the podium in 2:09:30. The Elite riders demonstrated the strength, endurance, and race management that define the highest level of competition in the territory.
The Sport Category delivered a great race with Joseph Thomas coming in first at 58:19 and Yves Abraham at 59:46
The Expert category delivered a closely contested race throughout the event. James Bates took first place in 1:33:04, followed by Guy Augustin in 1:33:08 and Jerry Remie in 1:33:09. The top three riders pushed each other throughout the race and produced one of the strongest performances of the day.
The Women's category highlighted the continued growth of women's cycling in the Virgin Islands. Enid Francis secured the victory in 1:08:39, followed by Malika Maynard in 1:09:09 and Judy Gario in 1:20:56. Their efforts, dedication, and commitment to the sport continue to inspire and strengthen the cycling community.
Congratulations to all riders who lined up, the volunteers who made the event possible, the supporters who cheered from the sidelines, and everyone who continues to help grow cycling in the Virgin Islands.
